Good to know about Equitec saddles

Equitec Superior saddles are developed and constructed to withstand the demanding daily use of competition riders, professional trainers, and leisure riders alike. Our customers have expressed a need for a saddle with a wide gullet, as many current saddles tend to sit a bit too high over the horse's withers. Additionally, the tree needed to be flexible to better adapt to the many different horse types and, not least, to ensure freedom of movement so that the horse can develop.

We have placed great emphasis on ensuring the saddle sits balanced on the horse. This means that the deepest point of the saddle is in the middle, and that it does not tip up in front or back when tightened. Of course, it is not possible to make one saddle that fits all horses or riders, which is why several models have been developed that together suit a wide range of horses and riders.

Equitec saddles are quality through and through, which is why we offer a 2-year full warranty on our saddles.

Equitec – Leather Quality

Equitec saddles are made from very high-quality vegetable-tanned cowhide. The leather has the advantage of being highly resistant to sweat and incredibly durable. We use the best European leather in our saddles, evident in the incredibly high finish and quality of all saddles. In our most expensive models, we use special Italian and English oiled leather of truly top quality.

Equitec - Saddle Panels

Another priority in the development of our saddles is the saddle panel and its placement on the horse's back. Our panels are self-regulating molded panels that guarantee optimal adaptation. They have an extremely wide bearing surface, which distributes the rider's weight in the best possible way. The wide gullet allows for optimal freedom of movement for the spine. Our saddle panels are softly padded and work with the horse's movement. The panels are either stuffed with synthetic wool or 3-layer latex:

Our synthetic wool is of very high quality, also highly resistant to sweat, meaning the wool does not felt or clump. In addition, the wool has great elasticity, which guarantees the panel's mobility.

Our 3-layer latex provides a unique fit and ensures that the saddle never loses its shape. The latex always returns the saddle to its original position. Latex is also extremely strong.

Equitec – Saddle Tree

The core of Equitec saddles is our flexible tree made of laminated wood and spring steel. The special construction means that the tree is flexible longitudinally. The tree is specially developed with an interchangeable gullet plate, allowing the saddles to be easily adjusted to the horse for optimal comfort in terms of the width and height of the horse's withers.
